January proved to be an exceptionally difficult month, marked by significant security challenges that severely impacted our ability to carry out our work.

These challenges not only affected our productivity but also took a toll on our
well-being, creating obstacles that hindered the smooth functioning of our daily
operations.
It's important to recognize that security threats come in many forms--whether physical violence,
cyberattacks, or social unrest. In our case, we have faced a troubling increase in violent incidents in our
region, which has sparked growing concerns among our team members. The atmosphere of fear and
uncertainty has made it much harder to focus on our tasks, as our attention is divided between our work
and our safety.
This situation has also strained communication within the team. The constant need to remain alert to
potential threats has amplified stress and anxiety, leading to misunderstandings and a noticeable drop in
morale. Collaboration, which is vital to our efforts, has become more challenging as a result.
Additionally, traveling to visit our children and carry out the Feeding Program has become increasingly
dangerous. Roads that were once accessible are now blocked or controlled by heavily armed groups,
making every journey a risky undertaking.

Despite these challenges, we remain determined, relying on our courage and resilience to continue our
work with both enthusiasm and caution. We remain hopeful and ask for your prayers for Haiti and for all
of us here at YES!. However, the security concerns extend beyond the workplace, affecting the personal
safety of our employees and causing delays and absences depending on the situation in their
communities. It's crucial that we take swift action to ensure our team's safety
and restore a productive, secure work environment.
We thank you so much for your support and help towards all the young adults,
children and us.
Sincerely,
The YES! Staff (Mr. Valcourt, Mr. Sonido, Charlensky, Judeson, Daniel, and Sorayah)
