In 2016 I ventured to Haiti for the first time and during the plane ride there I felt as though I was going to visit family, my heart was drawn and I felt connected to this land I had never visited before. I came in contact with Beth and the teens of YES! my first day in Haiti and instantly felt a love for them I could not explain.

I continue to travel to Haiti as often as the Lord opens the doors for me to go. I became a board member of YES! in 2018 and am the treasure of YES! and help Dawn with bookkeeping and communications stateside.

My background is in Social Work. I worked for the state of Oklahoma in Child Welfare for two and a half years with my focus on teens transitioning out of care. My husband and I turned my food truck, The Red Bird Coffee Cart, into a brick and mortar coffee shop in Yukon, Ok in 2020 that mentors and employs teenagers transitioning out of the state’s custody. I have had a love for teenagers and aiding them during this pivotal stage in their life- this is precisely the mission of YES!. I am continually amazed at how the Lord aligns our hearts with places and people to carry out the work He has placed in our life.
